Crissy Field is a restored tidal wetlands and promenade in the Presidio of San Francisco, offering a completely different perspective on the Golden Gate Bridge than Baker Beach. Here you're looking at the entire span across the water, with the bay shimmering in the foreground. The wide-open lawn and promenade create a sense of scale and openness that is perfect for large grounded floral installations, where dozens of blooms can be scattered across the grass in a way that photographs as though the field itself is in bloom. It is one of the most romantic and visually expansive outdoor proposal settings in the entire Bay Area.
Why Propose Here
- You see the full span of the Golden Gate Bridge across the bay. It's a wider, more majestic view than Baker Beach's up-close angle, and one that frames the entire structure in a single photograph.
- The restored tidal marsh and open grass give you room for elaborate, spread-out installations. Grounded florals, marquee letters and heart arches all have space to breathe.
- The location offers immediate access to the waterfront, providing a beautiful space to pop a bottle of champagne and take post-proposal photos right on the water's edge.

Weekdays are significantly quieter. Because Crissy Field is a popular running and dog-walking route on weekend mornings, so a weekday golden hour gives you far more privacy.
Crissy Field is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and a National Park Service special event permit is required for all proposal setups on federal land. The standard individual permit costs $60, with a significant amount of paperwork and months of processing time; because Yes Moment holds a commercial operating license, we pass on a reduced fee of $50. We handle the permit application and coordination with the NPS on your behalf.
